RTA FLAT WALKERS

Report on June Flat Walk

Howth Cliff Walk

(under leadership of Stephanie and Grace)

We explored The Howth Cliff Walk, the Tramline Loop, a trail which took us along the coastal route.

It was a moderate walk approx 7km with 130 metre climb at the summit.

The trail traced the old tramline back into the village with spectacular views of Ireland’s Eye, Baily lighthouse and Howth Harbour.

We took a slight diversion off the trail to view Baily Lighthouse bringing us to a total 10 km.

There was an ideal picnic area at the half way point. We also discovered a quaint restaurant ‘The Dog House’ at the end of the walk on way back to the village, to enjoy coffee and a treat after the walk.

Many great comments onWhatsApp – Thanks Stephanie and Grace for lovely day. Once again we were blessed with lovely weather, great views and lovely company .
